Scherto R. Gill is a Senior Fellow at the Guerrand-Hermès Foundation for Peace (GHFP) and Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Sussex, UK. She writes in the fields of education, peace and dialogue, and has developed ideas such as human-centred education and peace as human flourishing. Scherto is a speaker and presenter at many international forums, symposiums and conferences. She also convenes international research seminars at the GHFP, featuring dialogue amongst carefully selected experts on themes of interreligious understanding, conflict transformation, wellbeing and peace. Her most recent publications include Redefining Religious Education: Spirituality and Human Flourishing (Palgrave, 2013), Critical Narrative as Pedagogy (Bloomsbury, 2014), Education as Humanisation (Routledge, 2015), and Human-Centered Education (Routledge, 2016), Why Love Matters: Values-Based Governance (Peter Lang, 2016) and Un- derstanding Peace Holistically: From the Spiritual to the Political (Peter Lang, 2017). Scherto is a Fellow of British Royal Society of Arts (RSA), and she is a board member of Ara Pacis Initiative, a global council for Dignity, Forgiveness, Justice and Reconciliation and a board member of the Spirit of Humanity Forum
